From medical equipment that allows a child to interact with the world, to assistance with costly surgeries and rehabilitation services, the Kansas Society for Children with Challenges has remained at the forefront of expanding services that cannot be obtained through other Kansas agencies. From its inception, the KSCC has supported and encouraged research, legislation, and programs that benefit the afflicted. It has also expended energy, time and funding toward the prevention of illnesses and crippling diseases that affect our children.

The KSCC also serves as a facilitator and advocate, helping families find all possible sources of aid to maximize the assistance they receive. When families receive our assistance, the KSCC does not direct which doctors, hospitals or other health care resources to use.

A private, nonprofit organization, the KSCC receives no federal, state, or local government funding, is not supported by the United Way, and does not duplicate any services provided by other agencies. All funding comes solely from donations and contributions, and goes directly toward providing medical equipment and services — not toward agency overhead or administrative costs.
